Landscaping
We offer full-service residential and commercial landscaping; including new designs, updating existing designs, or maintaining your gardens and flower beds.  We have two Landscape Designers on staff to help with your design.  We welcome the "Do-it Yourself" landscaper to visit us for all of your needs. Our sales team is always willing and able to assist you with your questions, or to help you find the plant specimens your are looking for.  We are also here to help with maintenance problems.  If time is something you don't have enough of, let us provide you with our services for all of  your trimming, weeding, mulching, and edging of your bed areas, for a well manicured look.  We offer key-lock retaining walls, natural rock walls, paths, and edging.  We are licensed and insured in chemical application.  Let us take your landscaping to a new level.  Visit us and browse our display gardens and acres of nursery stock.  You are always welcome at Pleasant View Nursery!

Nursery Stock
We are proud of our comprehensive selection of nursery stock, grown in our fields. We have over 22 acres of evergreens, shrubs, & trees that have been grown locally in Wayne County.  Pleasant View has been an operating nursery since 1963, and has been growing nursery stock for over 45 years.  You can chose your plants from our fields or our many display beds. The following are some of the nursery stock items you will be able to find on your visit to Pleasant View:

Greenhouses
Take a stroll through our greenhouses featuring many fine tropical, temperate, and desert plants. We've got quite a collection to satisfy not only those searching for easy care plants, but for the discriminating collector of rare and odd species and hybrids. If we don't have what you are looking for in stock, we'll do our best to locate that special plant just for you. Looking for a climber to enjoy basking in a bright window? Check out our Climbing Rex Begonia vine Cissus discolor -- just one of our rarer colorful vines which can be taken outside to grace your patio or porch during summer to clamber over a trellis, but is also happy to come indoors in early autumn to be enjoyed in a bright room or warm windowsill until summer's return. This year, we've been fortunate to offer quite a selection of different varieties of maidenhair ferns, from the delicate fronds of Mairis's Maidenhair Adiantum x marissii to the large elegantly black-stemmed Peruvian Silver Dollar fern Adiantum peruvianum. For that warm tropical look, browse our selections of exotic hibiscus. We offer many named hybrids not found locally, many with colors never seen in retail stores nearby. Hibiscus "Blueberry Thrill" sports bluish-purple flowers fringed with orange and pink surrounding a deep purple throat and a frill of smaller pinkish petals in the center. We ship our orchids direct from Hawaii offering many beautiful exotic flowers, which oftentimes are tantalizingly fragrant, on multiple-stemmed large, vigorous plants. Looking for a gift with an interesting history? Choose from four different passion flowers whose common name comes from the use of each part of the flower to describe Christ's passion and crucifixion. Our greenhouses also stock varieties of plants suitable as bonsai plants, as well as for specimens for topiaries, terrariums and dish gardens.

Services we provide include, but are not limited to:  potting up potbound or ailing plants, short-term plant sitting, plant identification, disease and insect identification, quality information and assistance on how to care for and select your plants and what they need, as well as many other services provided for the best customer and plant care possible.

Floral Services

Pleasant View Florist offers complete floral services.  We provide services for all occasions:  Birthdays, Anniversaries, Weddings, Funerals, Get Well Soon, and Just Because!  We offer a wire services, and can send your orders, just about anywhere.  We love to design unique, one-of-a-kind, specialty pieces.  We offer live plants, fresh & silk flower arrangements and Fruit or Gift Baskets!  We offer Willow Tree figurines, Swan Creek Candles, J.W.
